FERRARI GP 1000
A double production between Florence and the Mugello circuit, to celebrate a significant milestone of the Scuderia Ferrari’s 1000thFormula 1 GP and also a restart to the events sector in total safety after the mandatory restrictions related to COVID-19 in the last few months.
FREE EVENT, an events and production agency with over 13 years of experience, together with Scuderia Ferrari organizes a double event which celebrates the outstanding achievement of an impressive one thousand Formula 1 GPs with a two-day celebration telling a story unique in the world, of the Maranello car manufacture.Under the leadership and creative direction of CEO Andrea Camporesi, FREE EVENT brought together the Italian excellence of the entertainment sector: internationally awarded professionals who worked all through the summer to create this incredible show.
The celebration started on Saturday 12 September, in Piazza della Signoria, with a spectacular show of vertical and ground performances, about 200 dancers, over 2000 square meters of video mapping and an incredible musical show that combined tradition and modernity as well as a tribute to Florence. The show was broadcasted live on SKY Italy and SKY UK, and in live streaming all over the world, with a reach of over 3 million users.
At the center of the scene, the “true stars” of the evening, the cars that have made the history of the Scuderia. At the end of the show, the guests reached the Salone dei Cinquecento for a splendid gala dinner enriched with elegant artistic and musical playlists theme.
The following day, the “euphoria” moved to the Mugello circuit: a very important race for the Scuderia, competing for the first time, in the Tuscan circuit already a “temple” of the MotoGP world championship. On the track preceding the race, a unique exhibition was carried out by a group of performers together with the talented Florence flag-wavers, who had put together a new choreography to celebrate the Scuderia and Ferrari fans from all over the world.
Both productions were carried out by FREE EVENT, a workforce made up mostly of Italians, who had been working for several months on the first major event of the Covid era. All mandatory and recommended health procedures were respected, from distancing to sanitation, thus allowing the many professionals involved to work in maximum safety, create something special and magical, and at the same time, give a very important signal to the restart of the whole event sector.
