The annual edition of Ironman 70.3 Venezia-Jesolo was held on the weekend of May 4-5: great success and great numbers for one of the most anticipated sporting events of the year, the fourth one organized iin the area by the agency Free Event, which brought the race to Veneto for the first time and has been a partner for several years for Italy of the international triathlon brand.
More than 2900 athletes from 75 countries – UK and Germany the most represented nations, with 34% of entrants from Italy, including Radio DeeJay speaker Aldo Rock – gathered to compete in an epic competition – 1900 meters offshore, 90 km bike course, 21 km run – with a large audience of fans and onlookers all along the route.
Lots of side events related to sports, entertainment and tourism, with activities that ensured a huge influx of spectators and a great tourist inducement to the cities of Jesolo and Venice.
